Roosheel Patel, PhD

Roosheel is a recent doctoral graduate from the laboratories of Dr. Dusan Bogunovic and Dr. Brad Rosenberg at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His doctoral work focused on investigating atypical immune responses to viral infections and developing therapeutic approaches to treat them. He has published and contributed to numerous scientific publications in immunology, host-virus interactions, autoinflammatory conditions, ‘omics’ technology development, vaccine efforts, and mammalian development. He is now highly interested in leveraging RNA therapeutics to better the human condition and medicine. Before attending graduate school, he founded 3 companies in the structural engineering space and has experience building companies from raw concepts to marketable products.
